Can Web Browsing Affect Your Memory Space On a Tab?

I know, I know, I'm asking way too many tablet related things but please bear with me, I'm just trying to find out everything before hand. it was said to me by a Apple rep that browsing on a iPod Touch would not effect it's memory space, and from what I could see it didn't seem to, but is it a different case on a tablet? I know they have processors rams and Ect but would you're on board memory be drained by browsing like it is on a PC?

yes...while you open a webpage it is downloaded... that's why you can open the pages from history...

this takes some place of your memory...but that is very very very small that it does not affects your tab's memory space...
