A guy asked for my phone number on the street?

I was walking home from school and suddenly a guy appeared, said "Hi!" and told me I looked pretty.I greeted him nicely, trying to remember if I knew him.He said "I'm (name)", so I said "I'm (name), then he asked if I would like to give my cell phone number to him, so maybe we could go have a drink someday. He seemed oddly shy, but I rejected him nicely, I said I didn't think so.

He looked 7 to 10 years older than me, and I'm 15.This guy wasn't handsome, but that's not the reason I turned off the offer. It's just that...I don't give my phone number to strangers I meet on the street, just like that.

Yes he seemed nice and very polite, he didn't get mad and didn't insist on the subject, just walked away telling me again that I was very pretty.

Should I have given him a chance? The thought of guilt kind is kind of eating me alive.

That decision was up to you, you may have missed out on an opportunity to meet someone new. You could have gotten his number instead, then talked to him a few times, what is the worst that could happen, you find out he is 7 years older so you decide he is too old and that is that. Maybe you could have met a new friend, maybe he had friends your age, and you could have found the love of your life. Don't know what you feel guilty about. You had an opportunity to meet someone new and you passed on it. You made a decision, time to move on.

  • of course u should not have. he might have been a rapist for all u know. u went by the face value, Charles Manson who ran the psycho group 'the family' was also shy, u did the right thing. and i would advise keeping a pepper spray, maybe u think i am getting paranoid but what is the harm in a few extra precautions. hope he does not disturb u anymore.

If you are 15 and he was offering you to go out for a drink, that's illegal. And you giving out your number would have probably ended in something very ugly happening to you. His intentions were clearly not good ones.

I don't think that it would have hurt very much if you had given him your phone number but I think that you probably should not. If you are sure that you don't know him then that makes it even more suspicious. You could have also asked him if you knew him. I normally wouldn't tell anyone who asked me my phone number.

even if you had given him your phone number he cannot teleport through the phone at your house and rob you. he was just a friendly man. but... he might make you made making fake phone calls with different numbers and maybe fooling you to come to a secret place and then do what he wants for his own benifit.

EITHER WAY! DO NOT GIVE PHONE NUMBERS TO ANYONE WHO IS UNKNOWN~!~!!@

No, it was definitely smart to not give out your number.

I'd be quite creeped out by his behaviour to be honest.

Entirely up to you , but as you don't know much about him you need to think twice.
