Credit card first activation.?

I applied for a credit card at Old Navy, and I just activated the card 10' ago. But why does it show up that I have a current balance of $21.76? I haven't even used it yet, just activated. Is it some kind of activation fee?

Did you apply for the card at the store?

Then you got approved on the spot.

Did you spend $21.76 at that store that day?

They charged it right to your account (your first purchase) even if you didn't have a card yet.

call the number on the back of the card and ask customer service what the charge is.

it could be the activation fee or maybe that's what you qualified for.
