Question about emergency orthodonist appointment?

I'm having an emergency appointment about a broken bite plate tomorrow and I was just wondering my REAL appointment isnt till January but do you think that at the appointment tomorrow i could ask them to change out my rubber band colors?

    i dont really know what a bite plate is but if it's like a bracket then they'll need to take your rubber band colors off to fix it anyway
