How to grow up artistically?
Alright, I have to notify that I'm insulting myself with this dump question, so 'serious' answers only required.
I'm sketching since I was 4 year old, that means 16 artistic years... I never been to an art school but I just got into an art college. Apparently, my level is like a beginner/intermediate as my doctors describe it.
Whatever I do, it's never good enough.
I know not repeating the flaws of past and keep my hand practiced is what should get me better.
But what it seems to be that I just don't have that talent to draw better lines or whatever...
I have potentials, but they are not coming up right.I seem to be stuck at some level that I might do something well, ruin the other. Even if I fix it, it remains just a work that hardly coming up to look good.
If I take it easy, it's not a perfect work, rather fun and depends on luck. If I pressure myself, may ot may NOT be even better in others' eyes, except me who's appreciating the efforts that been put into it.
I'm disable to produce anything HQ.
(Instead of saying practice, would you kindly mention a way to do that)
(If you're an artist, what helped you to grow??)
Thanks in advanced for the helpful answers that I hope to get...

When you start formal classes your skills will improve. You will be taught new ways of doing things and solving problems. You will also get feedback on your work and know where you need to improve. You have potential, otherwise you wouldn't have been accepted in to the school.
In the meantime though you should push yourself out of your comfort zone and try some new things. Tackle subjects you haven't tried, or experiment with some new media and techniques. You may find something you really love. When you are exploring don't worry so much about making it perfect. Even if it turns out horribly you will have learned something. Self doubt seems to be your biggest obstacle.
Also take some time every day looking at art and thinking about what makes a piece successful. There are tons of websites featuring people's galleries, I suggest deviantart or conceptart.org.

Hi,
You should go some art galleries and check the painting and art work there. it will help you to grow any new idea and new concepts. you can go art to classes if you wanna learn more.
If you can draw good things, then why are you not creating something better then before...?
Think and start again. Make some milestones for yourself and for the world too. Your people will remember you, if you will create some nice art work with new ideas.
DON'T THINK YOU ARE BEST ARTIST. there are lots of art to learn. Increase your art level. Don't compare yourself with the non-famous artists. Think as your competition is against some of the famous and good artists.
NOW TAKE YOUR PENCIL AND START MAKING A NEW MASTERPIECE.
GOOD LUCK !
