Is there a special name for this exercise?

On a leg press machine, a normal leg press is (to my knowledge) supposed to be done with the legs only without using the arms to help. However, if one pushes on the knees with their arms while also pushing with the legs, a lot more weight can be pressed, and as far as I know, this method yields the maximum amount of force the average human body can put out. There are quite a few people who can leg press more than a ton for a set of 10 reps, so "maxing out" this exercise would probably gave a high record. Does anyone know if there is a record of the maximum weight lifted by this exercise, and how much that is?
