Question on how one responds to stereotypes?

I attempted to ask this question earlier, but it must have struck somebody as racist and it was deleted, but I'll try to reword this so as not to offend.

How does one feel when doing something that perpetuates a stereotype of whatever group you happen to belong to, and is there a sense of shame or embarrassment in doing so?

For example, there's the stereotype that black people like to eat fried chicken (though, I think pretty much everyone does). If you're black, and you go to a restaurant craving fried chicken, is there any sort of reluctance to order it, like maybe the white waitress will laugh about it in the back or something?

Or if you're Jewish, is there any sort of impulse to leave a bigger tip? Or if you're fat, to go to McDonalds? (<-- I fall into this category). I'm sure I could go on with countless examples to make this question sound more offensive than it already is, but please at least attempt to take it seriously, and if anyone has a story about such a situation, please share.

Thank you.

People think just because I'm part Mexican that i speak spanish and eat tacos.. they also think smell like armpit and that I jump the border. As for me i ignore them or stick up for myself when I can. But i mostly just ignore it because i know its not true. It angers me a lot but people will always put stereotypes on people. :/

Don't say whatever - it is dull and it is going to lead them to do just it extra. Go to a instructor or a counselor and inform them men and women are announcing matters. It's a lot more potent at getting them to quit and makes extra experience than looking to get into an issue approximately some thing as dull as whether or not or no longer you consume cats.
