How do you write the sound of a wolf stepping on a twig?
I'm writing a story (for fun) and I wanted to know how you write it when someone (In my story a female white wolf) steps on a branch/twig. If you know any other noises that might be helpful to me please post them with your answer.
Thanks :D

"Snap, crackle, and rolf."
More seriously, if she's walking in the snow (white on white), the twig might squeak in the way snow sometimes squeaks when you step on it.

crackle, crack, crush, snap, pop, etc... so many describing words to use.
Like: The crackle of the small wooden twig beneath her feet was louder than ever.
