I was watching a programme last night about Ireland's freakish weather in the last few years. In Dublin, we have only been getting snow at Christmas time in recent years only. I think they said in the documentary that the last 40 or 50 winters in Ireland have been relatively mild. Now, our last few Summers have been wetter, and just last year it started snowing at the end of November. The whole country becomes gridlocked when this happens. A Croatian fella in the job was laughing at us saying back in his country they get piles of it whereas here we only get 1 or 2 inches or so. But we weren't prepared for this, water pipes freezing up, lack of salt for the roads and stuff like that, Irish people just recently remembered that they hate snow. Right now in Dublin, it hasn't snowed yet, cloudless day today so it feels cold, it's just beginning to get dark now and you can see a full moon in the north east. In other parts of the country I think it has snowed a little, in Scotland I think they have snow already.

We're out in the country, but... We average 8-10 feet of snow at the house, and 10-12 feet at the higher elevations of our ranch.
