I can not install Quickbooks from my Vista Computer?
It would not open, so I uninstalled from the the add/remove programs. It remained there, even though it showed as an empty program. I went to re-install in and I keep getting this msg: You must ask your system administrator to remove Quickbooks before it can be re-installed. I went into sys. adm, and it does not show as it being there anywhere. I used CCleaner to clean the registry, and it still gives me the same msg. Can anyone tell me what else I can do? Thank you in advance!
Ty ?$WAN..... I should have added that I did a system restore right off, it didn't fix it. I know I can go back to factory settings, but I was hoping to avoid that. Unless someone knows a way around it, it may be the only answer.

I don't think this applies, but just in case: A system administrator is a person, not a program on your computer. The error message is asking you to go to a person with administrator privileges. If you have administrator privileges, then this is not a concern. However, if you do not have administrator privileges, this is likely the cause of your problem.
I don't think this applies etiher, but just in case: Some programs come with their own uninstall programs. Using the Windows add/remove programs in these cases can cause the types of problems you encountered. My version of QuickBooks does not have an uninstall program, which is why I do not think this paragraph applies to your situation.
You are probably suffering from a peculiarity of Windows Vista. I have avoided Vista because of all the problems people have had with its security. Sorry I couldn't be of any real help.

I have installed Quickbooks about 100 times and I have never had this problem. I would recommend you download the free version of Revo uninstaller to make sure you get rid of all the registry traces. I have used this successfully in the past. You can get it from download.com., You could also try installing again in selective startup mode. Have a look here:

I might desire to confess that it quite is humorous that folk get the vista without getting to are conscious of it. invoice Gates will not proceed with it and is upgrading extra helpful domicile windows for his clientele. I not attempting to place you down yet please whilst determining to purchase something verify the high-quality print. Vista does not have something it quite is nicely matched for it. So bypass decrease back to domicile windows and each thing on the industry and sooner or later is nicely matched. Take care,Julie
