Chrome bookmarks disappeared?

It's not the bookmarks bar. So I restarted my computer (which I rarely do), and when I turned it back on and opened up Chrome my bookmarks vanished. Last week I set Chrome to sync with my Google Account. But I am pissed the f off as why my bookmarks disappeared. At first only half disappeared so some were still there. And now they're all gone. Where did they go? And how do I get them back? I have 2 years of important bookmarks gone.

    I've no brief info about this, but I can give you a hint about the google chrome bookmarks -

    Inside the "...\Chrome\User Data\Default\" directory are two files. "Bookmarks", and "Bookmarks.bak". One is for your current bookmarks, and the other one (with the .bak extension) signifies that it is a bookmarks backup, if anything goes wrong. Bookmarks.bak gets overwritten every time you close Chrome.

    Bookmarks in Chrome exist as a virtual filesystem. Meaning, that all your bookmarks are really just stored in one file, but appear as an actual filesystem inside Chrome.

    Chrome must be closed prior to doing this.

    Just open the bookmarks.bak file from notepad & see that your desired bookmark is present in it or not.....

    Log in to your Google Dashboard and see that is your Chrome sync bookmarks is still there? If still at there try sync your Chrome again...
