    Set up an equation for the area of the bottom of the box.

    (30 - 2x)(12 - 2x) = 208

    Multiply the equation out and then factor it to get 2 values for x (one of which yields a negative area).

    i admire those series: permit S be the sum of the series then: S = ? (2/3)^ok = (2/3) + (2/3)^2 + (2/3)^3 + ... + (2/3)^n Multiplying the two sides by way of 2/3: 2/3 S = ? (2/3)^ok+a million = (2/3)^2 + (2/3)^3 + ... + (2/3)^n+a million Substract the two equations from one yet another: S - (2/3)S = 2/3 (a million/3) S = 2/3 S = 2
