Sweatiest/Best Stevie Ray Vaughan live performance?
I remember watching Live at the El Mocambo DVD years ago and that was good.
Is there a particular live performance of his which is thought of as his best? Just one song, even. Something where he absolutely tears it up and sweats his balls off.

There is a live set that PBS keeps playing on the weekends. It is Stevie and Albert King.
It isn't bad, but it is always wailing with those two. The set -as a whole- comes off unoriginal and extremely-repetitive. Not bad if you only listen to three minutes of one song.

there is no best...too many to narrow it down.
my favorite is "Look at Little Sister" live at Montreux '85 w/Johnny Copeland...REALLY good...much better vocals than the recording:

and here's a version where he breaks a string...roadie comes up behind & switches his guitar...very professional:

and many more...actually the whole Montreux show is great....he ain't sweatin though, haha.
and though it's not live, i assume you've seen the video for Cold Shot? i love the part where the fat ***** keeps taking his guitar & he just grabs another from behind the sofa like he don't care. so funny.
