What is the best 3D game software?

I've tried jMonkeyEngine but I can't really start it up. There's always an error saying I need some sort of module. And I've tried Sandbox but that didn't work either, not enough freedom and I couldn't change the character. I haven't had a lot of experience with programming except with SCRATCH and a bit of Stencyl and Python but that's it. I'm trying to make an RPG like Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and a sports game like dodge ball. Later I want to make and MMOG but first I want to try with the RPG. I'm only 13 but I'm a fast learner. Any suggestions?

Update:

I'm on a budget due to the holiday shopping but I can buy anything $30 or less. And I have Windows Vista

Update 2:

I'd be VERY interested in anything with Java since I'm applying to a high school that specializes in programming and Java is their main language. It would be nice practice and look good on my application

Unity 3d, hands-down. It is the easiest game engine ever. If you can't do it in that, then just give up.

BTW, you just don't know what your getting yourself into...You should really study programming first, at least for a year to understand the basics and the like. I've been learning programming for nearly 3 years, and can honestly say that it doesn't matter how many hours you put in, it's going to take you a couple of years to be able to create a game. Aim for Pong in Java, or maybe Frogger. That was the first game I ever made. :)
