Although it was great that Ohakune paid tribute to the All Blacks like that, it's just a bit bizarre now. The only thing stranger than a giant carrot landmark is a giant carrot landmark that appears to have turned black with decay.
I think it's still black at the moment, but I would imagine they will paint it orange again.
Gotta love Ohakune.

They are a bit strange in Ohakune. The carrot was painted black for the rugby world cup, but now that's over.
