A passive-aggressive person is sarcastic, vengeful, gossipy and indirect when he communicates with others. Vengeful behavior is part of being passive-aggressive.

    So technically, yes.

I think passive aggressive behavior is when someone wants to react to an event or situation, but doesn't want to openly express their feelings, so it comes out in other ways. For example, your husband may not want to go to a social outing with you, but doesn't want to refuse to go. So instead, he goes, but talks/complains that the music is too loud, that the food tastes terrible, that there is no comfortable place to sit, etc. Until you finally give in and say, "Let's go home."

Revenge is when someone is angry about something they perceive you did to them, so they act in a way to hurt you.

A person may exact revenge passive aggressively or openly.
