How big of tires and rims can you fit on a 2006 ford f150 triton xl?

Combinations get complicated, bigger rims smaller tires smaller rims bigger tires, how the rim is centered as in some rims bolt on further from the car some are closer its a hard question to answer without physically trying each rim and tire combination for your self. If you're looking at a set of rims and tires if you can just try to get one on the car in the front to see what kind of room you have while turning, that's probably the best answer you're going to get.

A bit of a hard call, but you should assume 20 inches would probably be max without a lift. Here are some potential sizes which would properly fit a 20" rim for your Ford.

255/50-20

265/50-20

275/45-20

275/50-20

If you want big rims you could go with a 22in rim and thin sleek 32 in tires. If you want big tires go with a 14in rim and 33 in tires or anything in between.

If you want to lift it it would be possible to get 72" tractor tires on it,but you should be able to get 33s on it without a lift.
