can a spindle motor for a dg-16d2s lite-on cd drive be disassembled?

i have a busted dg-16d2s spindle motor, and also a vad 6038 spindle motor. i was hoping to cannabalize the vad motor, to have working motor of the proper type i need...

but i can't for the life of me figure out how to open up the motor itself. it appears to be a permanent assembly, but im not quite sure, and cannot find the info anywhere on the internet.
