How close to the edge can the cutout for a sink be in a butcherblock counter?
It's Pacific alder, glue-laminated, 1 3/8" thick.
I don't need to know how to template and install a sink.
Specifically I want to know how near the end of the block I can have the sink without compromising the structural integrity of the butcher block slab.

When you buy a new sink, if that what you have done, it should come with a template. However, if you are fitting your existing sink then leave 1.5 to 2 inches from the edge of the work top.
