How do I add ethernet ports to a Cisco 2501 router?
I recently bought a Cisco 2501 router for my home practice lab and didn't even think that it might not have an ethernet port. I have heard of adapters you can buy to convert serial to ethernet but what port do they use, how much do they cost, where can I get them, etc. Also, is there a better way?

You can not add Ethernet ports to a router or modem but you can buy a port splitter to connect several cables to one port, these you will find at a computer center that sells computer components, parts and computers. Fry's Electronics is just one of the many computer/electronics stores. http://www.frys.com/
Most all brands of wireless routers have several Ethernet ports on the back of the router mine has four Ethernet ports for adding PC's and other devises wired.
