How to do to gain exlucisve right on my invention? Where to register it?

Don't know how some things are called in english.... I invented something that will have a very big benefit for Google if they will buy it after. I want to copyright or the term would be register my invention, to have all the right on it. For me to decide what to do with it and everyone to be prohibited on using it if i won't give them my ok. After i copyright it i will sell the comercilization rights to the interested firms. So where to register my invetion to be internetional recognised on me, for me to won the exlusive rights? I'm kinda perplexed seeing so many websites where you can gain your copyrights... how to??? and if you were in the same situation like me, please give let me know if some bad happened after, to knwo what to expect and what to do.
