So, There is this girl I like.?(2)?

I just posted this question but there is a little more I forgot to add to this situation.I don't know any of her friends personally.

Well I'm just your average highschool guy. I like to flirt and mess with many girls. I had no problem with it, well that's until I saw the girl of my dreams again. First time I saw her was about 4 years ago and I never really made any moves for her because I always thought I wasn't good enough(I'm an idiot for that). But now 4 years later senior year I see her a lot more now, still not talking. I say casual things like hi, the point is I still can't talk to her for some odd reason(It's because I like her), I'm thinking I would do a lot better if I got her number then it would build me up to talk to her. The question is would it be weird to ask her friend for her number? and I don't know her friend at all
