Ermm sorry, but yh, the girl would probably think it was a bit weird and would take it that you fancy her and would most likely tell her mate. Do you not have any mutual friends with her? Or couldn't you get one of your friends to do it? Because your friends probably wouldn't care what they thought of them because they don't like them? Sorry if it sounds a bit harsh but I guess you said this because you wanted an honest answer... But then again, I know if a boy asked one of my mates about me I would think it was cute, but that might just be me...
