Should it be the mans or the womans job to plan anniversaries?

Me and my girlfriends anniversary is coming up in a few months and we are arguing about who should be the one to plan our night. She believes it is the mans duty, while I believe it should be a combined effort. Is it a socially stigmatic thing for the man to plan the anniversary?

    I think both of y'all should decide to cease the bickering. After all it's suppose to be excitement between you guys it is a celebration.
