Which redsn0w do I use to jailbreak an iPod Touch 2G iOS 4.2.1?
I've been using 0.9.6rc16 but the jailbreak hasn't been going right. The springboard keeps crashing. I can trigger a crash by trying to use the multitask bar. I had it jailbroken for a long time on this version with nearly zero problems, but due to some complications, I had to restore and re-jailbreak. I can't seem to get it working this time, though.
If it matters: Windows 7 64-Bit Ultimate. It IS an MB model, so it's jailbreakable.
I know it's a choice, but I'm poor and can't afford apps or books. This helps with that.

I wouldn't use redsn0w for 4.2.1. I wouls use greenposi0n. Heres a video tutorial here:

Well, I didn't use redsn0w to jailbreak my iPod 2nd gen 4.2.1, I used greenpoi0n. You should restore it again and save your iSHSH blobs, then install greenpois0n on Windows according to the type. It's pretty much smooth sailing from there as long as you know how to do the button thing. (Sorry, I don't know the name.) There are some tutorials on YouTube if it helps. Of course, you don't NEED to have it jailbroken, your choice.

only use BlackRa1n, works lots swifter and much less complicated, and delivers Cydia, Rock (now not in use so do not setting up it [ you will settle for the alternative with the recent application you get after jailbreak).
