What crochet stitch is this called?

    Looks like Tunisian, or afghan stitch. Lots of Youtube videos on how to do, as well as crochet sites.

    It doesn't have a particular name. Actually, few stitches beyond sc, hdc, dc, tr (and it's relatives) have formal names that you could use to look them up. Individual designers will give names to stitches in their designs either for marketing or to differentiate between different textures used in the design. But it is unlikely that name would have the same meaning in other patterns.

    In this case, the stitch is simply single crochet through the back loop, worked in the round. If you work it back and forth, you only get the dashes every other row.
