what do you do on christmas eve + day?

I'm sooo excited about Christmas!! I can not wait especially since its only 6 days away!!

Christmas Eve:

I don't really have a specific time I wake up, just whenever. After I wake up I get on my laptop and go on Facebook, Twitter, and check my E-mail. Then, depending on the time, I'll text my friends and wish them a happy Christmas Eve. Then I just kind of lay in bed and watch T.V. for a little bit. Then I go down stairs and eat breakfast and watch T.V. with my family for the rest of the day. Then I make sure I've wrapped all of the gifts to my family from me, last minute decorating and cleaning. Then around 5 or 6 my family and I watch all of the little 30 minutes to an hour Christmas shows on the local channels and we get a bunch of snack foods and eat those all night. Then around 8, or whenever me or my sister brings it up, we get to open one present. Its a tradition, ever since my parents were little, that every Christmas eve we get to open one present which is always a new pair of pajamas and maybe a new pair of bedroom shoes. Then around 9 I sit out cookies for Santa and go to bed but I usually don't fall asleep until like 11 because I'm to excited. And sometimes I ask Santa to leave a few pieces of candy under my little tree in my room.

Christmas day:

I usually wake up early, around 5, and see if Santa left any candy under my tree and if he does I eat it. Then I get online to try and make the time go by faster since it goes by so slow. Then around 7 I go and wake up my sister and we come back in my room and talk about what we think Santa left us and we think our presents are from our parents. Then around 7:30 we go and wake up our parents and make them get up. We wait until they are up and then my mom sends us back to my room so she can take pictures. Then they call us downstairs and we see what Santa brought us. We usually go through that stuff while my makes sausage and ham biscuits. We eat the biscuits and then I, sometimes my sister helps, pass out presents. We go around in a circle starting with the youngest, me, and we each open 1 present at a time. Then we go through and open all of that stuff and talk to our family members that call. Then we help my mom cook and usually eat in the afternoon. Then we just kind of hang out and play with our new stuff until we get tired and go to bed.

That's basically my Christmas eve and day. (long I know but so worth it!)

Christmas Eve

Well, my actual holiday is a few days before on the Winter Solstice... so by Christmas I am pretty relaxed because it's just things we've been invited to.

Xmas eve morn is like any normal day-- might work, clean, whatever.

Usually we go to dinner at friends or family, or go to the multifaith service at our UU church.

Then we go to my mother's house... she does celebrate Christmas. I'm her only child, hence our 3 kids are her only grandchildren. So we spend the night with her. If my husband is working he comes joins us.

The kids have fun watching holiday specials, we set up "Santa Central" and track Santa on the internet or call NORAD or something. They hang their stockings.

We give them PJs and a book to open (tradition). They get real excited & read stories and have cookies & cocoa & go to bed. They leave cookies out for Santa.

As soon as they get to sleep we lug out whatever gifts and put them under the tree.

Then I go to sleep on her couch and they start waking up like every half our starting at about 3 AM, asking, "oooh Santa was here! Can I open this! Can I look at that!"

And I say, "No, go back to bed." A lot.

About 5 AM I finally let them take their stockings back up to their room and they go through them.

About sunrise they finally get us all up and we groggily watch them open their gifts.

Then we eat some breakfast, they play, my mother cooks, and since we usually have the day off we sit around watching TV or reading or playing cards.

My mother makes a great dinner... Italian.

Then I load up presents & leftovers & go home.

well ever since I was really little (im 13) I would get up on christmas eve about 7:00 am cuz I was hyper and excited cuz I normally open all my presants on christmas eve night:) but this year I'm opening my presants christmas eve morning:)))) cuz my mom has to work christmas day:(( and on christmas eve morn we are going to have a BIG breakfeast after opening presants and on christmas day we just stay in our pj's and play with our stuff:))......and that's about it:)

AHHHHHH ok im really excited about it because TOMORROWS CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!!!!

Christmas Eve:

Wake up whenever, then i have breakfast i go get dressed brush my hair clean my teeth all that stuff then i just watch tv for a bit. then my mum will probably make me clean the house with her ( everyone in our family from both sides comes to our house, so it has to be clean) then that takes up alot of the day. somewhere in between the cleaning up i check all the presents are under the tree and dance around the house singing carols. so around 7:30/8pm we have dinner then we all (my family) watch the christmas movie elf then next we all put our stockings in our spot (we all sit in a certain part of the room while we open our presents). then i (being the youngest) put out the cookies and milk/scotch (it changes each ear) as well as the carrots for the reindeers. while im at it i have a quick peek of the presents. i wind up our nativity scene (it plays silent night) and stare at it and think about the real meaning of christmas. then i say goodnight to everyone and i try to sleep. normally i read.

CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!

I wake up super early (around 4:30 one year) then i just watch christmas specials until 7 then i can wake everyone up. next we go down and open presents from family and then stockings. next we all go have our breakfast as a family. next we prepare lunch. and wait for my mums family to come over. once they get here we all chat and my brother, cousins and i go play video games in his room. then we get called down for lunch then some people go swimming in the pool (in australia its summer at christmas time :) then we get called up to have sweets then we go back in the pool then later we exchange gifts. then most people have to go since it is around 6pm now. we say goodbye then im not really sure what happens after that. my family kind of just watches t.v. or christmas movies, play with our gifts and just spend time together. then i cant fall asleep again because i get to do it all again tomorrow with my dads family and thats pretty much it.

christmas eve-

8am- i will wake up because i'm excited for christmas being the next day!

9am- i will have my breakfast

10-2pm- i'll probably be on my laptop all day, or getting hyped about christmas with my sisters!

3pm- me and my sisters will walk over to my grandmas and give her the christmas presents we baught her

4pm- we'll probably get home by 4, so we will just chill and watch tv or something.

5pm- our family generally pig out on food, so we cook a hell of a lot of food, and chocolate etc and put it on the huge table.

6pm we'll eat it and probably watch a movie or just tv.

11pm- i'll probably go to sleep, but it'll take me forever so probably i'll get to sleep at about 1am. hehehe

christmas day-

6am- i'll wake up super excited! i'll open my presents my friends got me while i wait for everybody to wake up, oh and i'll inbox my sister on facebook asking if she's up yet. hehe

6.30am- i'll open my presents! yeyyy

7.30am- i'll be eating a lot of chocolate i got, i'll also go on my new phone.

8am- cup of tea! yey

9.30am- i'll put my new clothes on, what i got for christmas!

3pm- CHRISTMAS LUNCH!

4pm- i'll be full from lunch but still eat more chocolate!

7pm- the soaps (tv programmes) will start, and finish at about 10pm.

11pm- i'll get to sleep.

XMAS EVE

For my whole life i went over to my grannys for dinner and most of my cousins on my dads side would be there to untill she got older and it was to hard for her to make dinner for so many of us so now my mum cooks dinner for every1 and after we give each other presents then with the younger cousins i would play the wii and they would leave around 7, 8 r 9 and we would leave the carrots, milk and cookies out and go to bed

XMAS DAY!!!!

My WHOLE LIFE its been the same all 12 years of my life!!!

Last year i went to my 1st cousins on my mums side and this year there coming to my house then next year we go to theres and so on but its basicly the same every xmas

8/9am wake up and open presents with bro and sis

When ever church is on we go to church

After we go to cousins r they come to us a little bit later (around 1pm)

We watch t.v. and go on phones

Mum/aunt makes dinner and we eat it

We go back on phones (ik we are unsocial)

Then later on we have a snack

We put on P.J.s

We ALWAYS play blinds man buff and play cards r make huts with the cousins on our couches and if we are at theres we use chairs and blankets

Go to bed and go on phones (we always have a sleep over)

And when we wake up mum/aunt makes breakfast and they go home/we go home at around 1pm

Sounds like awesome :) I'm 14 as well, here is my routine:

Christmas Eve

Wake up at about 7 and FREAK OUT WITH HAPPINESS AND EXCITEMENT

Make my bed and tidy room

Watch Christmas specials and eat breakfast

Have a shower, get dressed, brush teeth etc

Watch 'What I Got For Christmas' youtube videos and other Christmas youtube videos

Put Christmas carols on and dance like crazy whilst packing to go to our beach house (its' summer during Christmas in Australia)

Bake rumballs & then clean up and do dishes (my sister wakes up about now)

Change into bathers and go for a swim with my sister (she just lays on the pool lounge whilst I swim around haha)

Get changed back into clothes and dry off and stuff

Wrap my mums and dads gifts with my sister whilst watching elf (they both work Christmas eve :( )

Hang around watching tv and going on our laptops until mum comes home

We help mum cook salads and things for tomorrow and put them in the fridge

Dad comes home and we all eat dinner and watch the specials

We turn the tv off and turn the Christmas lights on and play Christmas carols and sit and talk and I probably end up dancing around because I get excited :D

Go to bed

Christmas Day

Wake up and FREAKY FREAK FREAK OUT at around 6 or 7

Make bed, open blinds, tidy room because I hate having a messy room :)

Change my countdown on my whiteboard, jump on my bed, peek at the presents and all that kind of stuff until 7:30 when I'm allowed to wake my sister up

Wake up my sister and we talk and peek at the presents and then wake up mum and dad

Mum takes picture of me and my sister while we sit around the tree and dad makes himself a coffee

We open our presents and have soooo much fun and everyone is happy and yay

Then me and my sister give our gifts to our parents and then I give her hers from me and she gives me mine from her

Play with our new stuff, try on new clothes etc

Get dressed into bathers and take all our stuff to the car and drive to our beach house where our aunties, uncles, cousins and grandparents also have a beach house and we all go to our grandparents beach house and say hi and then all go down to the beach

Come back up and have lunch together and play games and hag out and talk and have fun :D

Drive to my uncles house on my Dads side and say hi and everything

Then the adults all talk whilst the kids show each other what we got and stuff

Everyone goes into their big pool and swim and play with their pool toys and things

The adults get out and cook the BBQ whilst the kids keep swimming until we are called out for dinner, we all get out and eat :D

Then we open presents we have got each other and play with them for awhile

Then we go back in the pool for a night time swim but we turn all the pool lights on and it looks awesome ]

Then we drive home and go to bed exhausted

And then the next day we drive down to our beach house again and stay there until new years haha :)

Nothing, but wait to open presents and eat dinner.
