Same thing happens to me. I just try to go back to the things that motivate and inspire me.
For exampe, I want to be a doctor. And no doubt it isn't easy to become one, school wise. Lots of stress that comes along with it from many exams.
When I am feeling down, I just go on youtube and watch videos of doctors in action. They are usually titled "A day in the life of a .........(doctor specialty)......". And these vids help me get motivated again. I get my confidence back from watching that because I know that is who I really want to be in life. Their professionalism and knowledge motivates me to go back to school and try and behave the way they do and take things more seriously.
Another thing I sometimes do when studying for an exam, is somewhat risky, psychologically. I always think ahead of the exams in medical school which I will be taking later on.
I always say to myself, "if I can't study well enough or pass these exams in college, then how the heck will I even attempt to study and take an exam in medical school". I also think about how medical students study their butts off, so I try to mimic that. This helps too sometimes, and when I said risky, I meant because that may intimidate you a bit.
It's all about staying confident, inspired, and motivated. Work on these things and you will succeed. If you believe that you don't have these things at the moment, then try to create them for yourself... only you can do that. :)
Hope this is of any help to you, good luck.

Hello Bharath,
I think you are taking too much tension.
Look preparation for XAT is not easy. But you have to take the preparation process as your favorite game. Not just studying for hours can help you to get a good rank. Beside this you have to discuss your problems with friends, or you can discuss in online chat, forums etc. Try to get involve with persons who have some knowledge about this kind of entrance test. You can also try some online websites for the preparation of various entrance test. http://www.basictell.com/ is a great site that can help you.
Don't get tensed.
My only suggestion will be for you is, Fear less and work hard.
Best of luck.
