if i put my credit card into psn and buy a few things can i then stop the card from being used on psn like canceling it only for the ps3 and still use it on other things help.

When you enter billing information, you can password protect the information, or you can delete the information, you do not have to keep the billing information on your PSN Account.
I'm not sure what you mean by "canceling it only for the ps3 and still use it on other things"... Do you mean can you use the card to purchase other content that is not on the PSN? If that is your question, then you can use your credit card for whatever you want from any retailer that accepts your card type.
