Why are most Wii games "cartoonified" compared to their XBOX or PS3 counterparts?

Because the Wii lacks the hardware power that the xbox 360 and ps3 have. the X360/ps3 went for power and HD graphics, Nintendo decided they'd rather have the Wii be cheap (in price) than powerful. The Wii is, basically, an overclocked gamecube. It has last-gen graphics. So when developers make a game for the systems, they have to change the graphics.

put money in the wrong places. hence, they have terrible graphics hardly (or not improved) from the gamecube. motion controls are useless (terrible games, or games that were ruined). Wii's graphics cant take the high end resolution that PS3 or XBOX 360 hold; so their attempts are to put more gameplay efforts rather than graphics. Wii is a failure. Gamecube killed it. Worst game console of this generation.

It's a crutch. Wiis graphics rant that good so to hide that they give games an art style such as cartoon graphics.

my guess, Nintendo puts more effort in making a game than making it with high graphics, as you said, lack in graphics. Ps3 and Xbox have too much of a reputation to lack in graphics.

other nintendo games are mostly cartooned because nintendo want to get more little kids to play when a little kid gets atention the parent normally pays the parents wouldn't buy the kid a shooting game
