The Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner. Maze Runner, Scortch Trials, and The Death Cure.

This is the summary on the back of the book:

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.

Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.

Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers.

Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind

OMG. Wow, I'm 13 and I ADORE those too (Especially The Hunger Games. Peeta & Finnick!! <3).

Anyway, The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness would be a VERY good read. [Michelle Paver] It's set a few thousand years after the ice age and this boy called Torak's father has just been killed by a demon-possesed bear. To kill the bear, he has to pick up three pieces of the nanuak and deliver then to the Mountain of world Spirit.

Percy Jackson(?)[Rick Riordan] Not my favourite but, good all the same. He's half god half human and is the son of one of the big 3, Poseidon. That's it shortly.

If you like horror, The Darren Shan Saga and other series' by [Darren Shan]. Hope you don't mind vampires(Not the sparkling kind, don't worry, I hate those kind. These are the true vampires.) He's a half vampire and he's an assistant to a vampire to put it shortly.

The Declaration(There's also the sequel called The Resistance. Not sure whether there will be a third) [Gemma Malley] There's a drug called longevity which makes people live forever, thus, no child is allowed to be born or the Earth would over populate. If children are born, they're raised as slaves and think that they are worthless.

Most of them have touches of romance. The Declaration has more than the first three, but less than The Hunger Games.

You might like Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. It's about teens fighting zombies and there's a dash of romance, but not much. Same with the Uglies by Scott Westerfield which is dystopian like Hunger Games. Very little romance anyway and even less as the series progresses. Poison is a fun, dark fantasy by Chris Wooding too. Happy reading!

  • Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke

    Graceling Series by Kristin Cashore

    Inkheart Series - Cornelia Funke

The Alchemyst Series - Michael Scott

The Chronicles of Narnia - C.S. Lewis

The Graveyard Book - Neil Gaiman

The Tale of Despereaux - Kate DiCamillo

    Goose Chase - Patrice Kindl

Read the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, they make Harry Potter look like The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

My favourite book is Divergent by Veronica Roth, it is similar to the hunger games and is about a girl, Beatrice, who must choose ,out of the five parts of society, where to live for the rest of her life. It is an amazing book and when I read it I was like 'Wow I'm so happy I have found this book'

The Magicians Guild series! by Trudi Canavan.

It's about a slum girl who hated magicians and an accidental event let out her magician powers, the magicians are after her but she hid with the theifs among the city.

It's such an amazing series but I suck at explaining things lol

Try the Artemis Fowl books, they are supposed to be some of the best of the genre for your age group.

I have to agree with 'xmas' the Trudi Canavan books are great ones. I'm in my 20's and loved them. I stole them from my kid sister who's your age. Along with the Artemis Fowl books.
