Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct your problem. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

Sorry, but you cannot fix a damaged lens by yourself. It takes specialized tools and know-how. The Olympus FE-340 is an old and outdated budget model that was first released almost 4 years ago (and frankly, it produces TERRIBLE image quality)...the best option would be to buy a new one because repairs would cost much more than what the camera is worth (which isn't much).

Since you probably have a bunch of xD cards, look into the Fujifilm cameras too. dpreview will help you make a good choice. You can do a comparison too.

Ah yes, the old too lazy to use the neck or wrist strap so I dropped my camera and now someone is supposed to tell me what to do... ah yes, a very old story.
Trash and replace. Or perhaps make it a paper weight and a testament to you being too lazy to use a strap. Perhaps then every time you look at the trashed camera you'll remember what a camera strap is really for.
