what's wrong with my baby turtle's shell?

At the end of my baby turtle's shell, its peeling. Not a lot, but a little. I'm scared, but it swims healthy. I don't even think he notice it. But its kind of been there for a long time.help! I dont know what to do. Is there a remedy or a vitamin he can take. He's name is Sheldon. Any questions, ASK!!!thank you......<3

It's not skin,it's his shell so u know =D

Sheldon's shell is 2 inches big, or a little smaller than 6 centimeters.;D hope that helps...=p

    Do you have adequate lighting for Sheldon? He needs heat and UVB above his basking area to maintain a healthy shell. Also make sure that he is getting enough protein in his diet. It's a good idea to have a cuttle bone in the tank so he can get extra calcium when he needs it.

    Next, how big is Sheldon? Turtles do shed their scutes as they grow and this could be what you are seeing. Also, turtle's shells do change shape a bit as they grow.
