Can this happen to you when drunk?

I was out the other night and I got very drunk. I don't remember a lot of the night. However for some reason after I bumped into a friend of mine I couldn't remember if we kissed or not (I was that drunk i couldn't remember it on the night) the thing is there is no reason why that would happen because he is seeing someone at the moment and he used to go out with one of my best friends so it seems like something that would never (and obviously should never) happen.

No one since has said anything about them hearing or seeing it happen. Also as a sneaky way I rang him to ask if he heard anything about me or saw me during the night because I don't remember anything and he just mentioned that he was with me and a friend at some stage but didn't bring anything up about us kissing. I feel so so awful for getting myself into a situation where this could happen. I have no recollection of anything like that happening and I barely remember seeing him, the only reason why I think this is because on the night I couldn't remember if I kissed him or not.

Can alcohol make you think crazy things like that on the night??
