I would say Mulan. She didn't depend on man and she was really strong.

Either Mulan, Belle, or Pocahontas.
Reason:
Mulan was the only princess who saved her man
Belle fell in love with a beast and didn't judge on his looks
Pocahontas followed her heart
Cinderella just wept and needed help
Auora did basically nothing
Snow White had a lack of common sense
Tiana was ok and was hard working to get her dream
Ariel had a lack of knowledge by almost handing over the sea to a witch

Mulan's not a princess, but if she counts as one I'd definitely say her. If she doesn't count, then Tiana because she didn't do the whole dopey "Love at first sight" thing, and didn't depend on him to protect her. In fact, a lot of the time it was her protecting him :)
