why wont my samsung galaxy ace send or receive pictures?

I have the same phone and same problem.

You need to have your data turned on to send a picture , I have mine off all the time so I don't accidentally open the internet app or google or something.

But when I want to send a picture I have to go to settings, wireless and networks, mobile networks, and check the Use data packet so it is on, then you can send and receive pictures. I only turn it on when I send the picture and so far it's worked pretty well , I've tried sending pictures 3 times and it's worked perfectly twice.

I've read that when you turn this data on for sending a picture it will not cost money because I have the add-on for sending picture messages. Also , that sending a picture messages uses MMS which is why the data must be turned on.

If you have wifi on turn it off next time you try. That worked for me. When it says it sent you can turn it back on.
