What does this saying mean?
'took an arrow to the knee'

Ok basically it means that a person was going to do something, or did something and when they did it, the consequences were that they got shot in the knee by an arrow...
so for instance...
say I said "i'm going to the shop" and then when i get to the shop, i get shot in the knee with an arrow, as in maybe the shop was shut or what i wanted wasn't there.
that is the only way i can think of describing it...
it's a really hard quotation to define :S
