Linksys Router Issue?

Okay, so I have been having a problem with my router. It is a Linksys WRT160N V3

Every like 10 minutes or so, I will get disconnected from the network (as will every computer in the house) and the network is not showing up in the "Available Networks" list. I wait like 2 minutes and it shows up again. I have tried EVERYTHING to fix this but am unable to. Here are all of my settings:

WIRELESS

-Basic Wireless Settings

--Network Mode: Mixed

--Chanel Width: Auto (20MHz or 40MHz)

--Channel: Auto

--SSID Broadcast: Enabled

-Wireless Security

--Security Mode: WPA2 Personal

--Encryption: TKIP or AES

--Key Renewal: 3600 seconds

-Wireless Mac Filter: Disabled

-Adv Wireless Settings:

--AP Isolation: Disabled

--Frame Burst: Enabled

--Auth Type: Auto

--Basic Rate: Default

--Transmission Rate: Auto

--N Transmission Rate: Auto

--CTS Protection Mode: Auto

--Beacon Interval: 100

--DTIM Intercal: 1

--Fragmentation Threshold: 2346

--RTS Threshold: 2347

Any help would be appreciated. Actually it cut out when I wanted to post this question twice while I was typing it.

Update:

Not that old. Its a Wireless N router. I think we got like a year and a half ago. No issues until about a month ago

Linksys routers are generally good equipment but this router was not one of their best for sure. Here is my advice. I would do step one first but you could go right to step two to diagnose the problem

    Step One

First thing is to be sure you have the most recent firmware installed. You will note in the release notes for Firmware Ver 3.0.03 Build 3 fixes the instability problem on channel 11 and fixes the double NAT problem (either of which could be your problem). In any event, updating the firmware will cause you to do a fresh setup which is very likely cure the problem.

    Still have problems then

    Step Two

You only mention Wireless. Let’s play elimination

Connect at least one computer directly to the router

Does the wired computer also loose connectivity?

    If yes

Connect one computer directly to the modem. If the connection is still unstable call your ISP and ask for a line test

If you are stable when wired directly to the modem then flash the firmware and if it is still unstable buy a new router

This is going to sound really stupid but how old is that rtr? I have a linksys that I replaced with a netgear because the linksys was doing the same thing & i could not get it to stop but my router was about 6 to 7 years old.
