Lost my birth certifcate, need to get permit!?
Can i just show my state ID Card with my Social security card?
or will they want me to get a copy of my birth certif. and if i did..will i get the copy the day of?

Some states require birth certificate, if you need one you can call the hospital you were born at and I believe they will be able to give you a copy.

usually you will have to send away for a copy of the birth certificate to the state.
hospitals do not give official birth certificates. their certificate is not OFFICIAL and does not have the state stamp which is required. might be called Bureau of vital statistics. call you local DMV i'm sure they can tell you where to write to. don't know if even that's enough proof these days. they have a thing call six points, you'll need to show proof that will total 6 points before they will issue a new license.

Look around you for clues as to where you live then ask again.
