Well I'm not sure what you mean by assemble work, but I know a few places you can try until you find one you like.
First I'd try something like KGB or ChaCha where you answer questions that people send in from their phones. It can be really slow money at first, but once you get the hang of it, you can make pretty decent money.
You could also try something like Postloop.org. They pay you to post on forums or blogs. It's really easy money, especially if you like writing or posting on message boards.
Then, if you want a little cash real fast and you have an iPhone or Android, you can try Clover Pay. They'll pay you $5 to download their app and $5 for every person you refer, up to 5 people. This is great if your parents have iPhones or Android phones because you can use the app on their phones and collect the money (It's not like they'd know how to do it anyways).
I wouldn't post a referral URL, but I have to because I think it's invite only. https://www.clover.com/a?inv&t=1aj6qnqbyml6l
Then of course if your thinking long term, you can look into blogging and google adsense. It can be really great money if you're a good blogger.
By the way, surveys are a horrible and boring way to make money, I wouldn't waste my time with it.

I have been both. My first husband and I divorced when my daughter was 2 and I was a single mom and worked. Now I am a stay at home mom and I can tell you that being a single mom and working was by far the hardest thing I have ever done.. for me staying at home is a cake walk..I have 3 a home right now ages 14, 8 and 4 and although at times it is kind of crazy it is by far easier than when I had 1 and worked. I have all the sympathy for working moms and single moms it's not easy as a matter of fact it is damn hard. My hats are off to you..keep up the good work and rest assured it will get easier .
