Should I audition to be a Kpop idol?

Question

I know you guys have been seeing many of these questions and well I guess answering them too... But I really hope you can help me in this...
Im a 14 year old chinese(female)
I speak: English, Chinese, Cantonese
I'm in the choir so... I guess my singing is not too bad?:P I look exceptionally okay... Typical Asian: big eyes, black hair, red lips, heart shape face. IS THAT LOOK WHAT KOREAN ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY WANTS? (Pardon the caps) I can't dance. Well Ive never tried and never learned so... Well you get the idea... I just got into Kpop recently about 6 months ago. I got mesmerised by their strong passion they put off for music during their performances... I really have a strong passion for music/singing and hope to feel the same type of passion they have on stage... Well actually this ain't the reason why I feel troubled over whether to Audition or not.
  The reason why I feel troubled is because in my country, we have this education system that's really ridiculous... (that's what I think) well basically we go by primary school then secondary school and from there you either choose if you want to enter college or a polytechnic school... So since I'm 14 I just finished this thing called streaming. 
  We take our yearly exams and get streamed into classes with either triple science(pure bio,chem,phys),double science(pure phys/bio or chem take 2 of choice) or combined science(which is half of what double or triple learn basically don't study a deeper depth of science just surface) well I got into triple science. It's really a good class and I thank god for giving me a chance to study 3 sciences next year... Being able to study 3 science give me a wider and better opportunity to enter a good college and university. And to also be a doctor... Which is what my mom and dad wants me to be... 
  Idk really whether to choose studies or going to audition and stuff Which takes up my atudy time and stuff i want what's best for me... Pls give good reasons Ty:)

I can tell you're from Singapore. I am, too.

Firstly, you shouldn't want to enter the Kpop industry just because of the reasons you stated. Did you read the article that came out in the Straits Times a few weeks/months ago about 2 Singaporean girls who were training to be Kpop artists? They can't drink/eat after 7pm to prevent bloatedness, they only eat biscuits for dinner and fish/salad for lunch. And they train 4-5 hours a day + attend 1-2 hours of korean lessons.

Are you willing to put in that much? It doesn't guarantee success either. You have to know what you want instead of following the fad. 

As for your studies, I can see you're putting in effort, which is good. You're on the right track even if you don't want to be a doctor. My parents wanted me to be too, after I got straight As for my A-levels, but it wasn't my passion. Congratulations on getting triple science btw! :)) I got it too; it was pretty good.

It's ultimately up to you. In Singapore, academics is the main focus, I admit. Unless you're willing to sacrifice that, you shouldn't pursue being a Kpop star. It's a biiiit unrealistic. >.< Good luck! :)
