Solve for x, simplify tan 3 degrees by using a calculator: 0.0524 = (8x) / (8.6 - 64000 - 10x)
Multiply 8.6 - 64000 - 10x to each side: (8.6 - 64000 - 10x) * 0.0524 = 8x
Distribute: 0.45064 - 3353.6 - 0.524x = 8x
Add 0.524x to each side: 0.45064 - 3353.6 = 8x + 0.524x
Combine x: 0.45064 - 3353.6 = 8.524x
Simplify: -3353.1494 = 8.524x
Divide 8.524 to each side: x = -393.38
The answer can be off by a few hundredths or tenths due to the rounding of tan, if you want a more accurate answer, use more decimals than I provided.
