Need help with opening programs and IE...Virus?
Im trying to open programs and IE on my computer. It keeps asking me to "open with" in a pop up. Im assuming its a virus. If it is virus how do I even run my AVG or Malwarebytes to get rid of it? I have tried safe mode and it doesn't work. All my programs i try opening are saying program no found.
Any help with instructions would be great thanks.

Sounds like one of the "Windows Security 2012" type bugs. What you need to do is download (from another computer obviously) RKill from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-viru... , and either MalwareBytes or Spybot:-

Burn them to a CD and then start your computer up in safe mode with networking. Put the CD in, run RKill. Then install Spybot, do updates for it and run a full scan. Choose to remove everything it finds. I personally prefer Spybot to MalwareBytes, but they both do a good job.
