POLL: Would you patronize a store that was open on Christmas day?

I do all the time.

Perhaps having worked in a field where the day of the week on a calendar meant nothing to anyone other than a marker on where we are in the year has clouded my reasoning.

Being in Emergency Services I worked whatever day my shift landed on Christmas or otherwise.

Many employees work on holidays not just retail.

I celebrate Christmas, but I think the employers need to be aware of the employees who do celebrate Christmas and those who don't. The employers could AT LEAST give the employees who celebrate Christmas a shorter shift.

Well you could "patronize" them by behaving in an offensively condescending manner. ;)

But seriously, you are right in a sense. Businesses rarely care about their employees. The United States no longer has a democracy. Corporations now influence government past the point where the government no longer acts in the best interests of the people. Capitalism needs to go in favor of a social democracy.

The employees are hopefully getting paid extra for working on a holiday though.

I wouldn't care. Not all employees celebrate Christmas so they can use the money.

I think it's fine if the employees aren't forced to work, and they get bonuses.

Somethings could have been forgotten or something got here up. one twelve months I had family participants ensue from 3 hours away and did no longer relatively have adequate nutrition waiting for an added 4 those with out hitting a save. Plus, i had to get all of them somewhat present too.
