What is the correct way to treat a friend that you have been friends for over 40 years?
I have been friends with a person now for over 40 years. We had went to grammar school
together. Soon after that we went our separate ways. We got together awhile after that.
But our friendship has been on again off again. I'm not perfect, but there is not need to
criticize anyone especially if this person is your friend.

Friendship changes over the years. The thing about lifelong friendship is that it is important to remember to "give grace".....and to remember that the type of friendship you had in grammar school may not be the type of friendship that you have now.
