my kid having strange nightmares?
My 15 year old son have terrible nightmares or something? and Im worried there is something wrong with him, he screams really loud like someone is trying to kill him, Im in the room next to him and I jump through the roof every time, I feel so sorry that he is having these nightmare or whatever it is, and Im worried, when I ask him what he dreaming about he say he doesn't know, and he say he is not even aware that he is dreaming, but I don't know if he is truthful about that because those screams will wake anyone up from their grave, so I think that he should be awakening him self when he screams like that, I told him that maybe he should go and talk to someone like a psychiatrist but he doesn't want to, as a parent I really don't know what to do,

I think he may be sufferring from Night Terrors. It is a disorder where the sleeper will wake in exactly the way your son does. It is manageable but he needs to have a sleep study done to determine if this is the issue. He will be fine.

I'm a behavioral health nurse, and deal with children in this age group and younger.Night terrors is extremely uncommon for children beyond the toddler stage. If he is having recurrent nigh mares like that, I would think it would be from some kind of emotional trauma or severe anxiety. Maybe it is something that has been causing him high amounts of stress, maybe something happened at school. If these nightmares don't resolve soon, I'd definitely recommend taking him to talk to someone. If he is having such horrible nightmares, he's probably not getting adequate sleep, which can effect him ever more. I'd seek outside help.

Maybe his nightmares are caused by what he thinks about BEFORE he goes to sleep. Most people dream about the stuff that they think about before they go to sleep. Or he might be putting it on, in which case he will get bored of doing it every night and stop. Or it could just be a phase, he'll grow out of it:) Maybe you could suggest hypnosis?

Night Terrors. Definitely needs to have a sleep study performed. His REM cycles may be off, he may not be going into full sleep at all. There is a large variety of problems that may be occurring, all of which fall into Night Terrors.

Maybe he is screaming because you keep breaking holes through the roof. He is probably scared sh.itless of the poverty you all are facing, since, let's face it, repairs cost serious money.
My suggestion is duct tape the roof holes so he doesn't have to fear it, since duct tape is expensive. It shoud take about a month to stop, so in the mean time duct tape your son's nose and mouth shut.

objectives come out of your subconscious, thinking happy strategies wont provide up you from having nightmares. objectives contain the flaws on your strategies you're no longer rapidly thinking approximately, it incredibly is tough to describe despite the fact that this is maximum probable for the reason which you're uncertain approximately some thing or you're frightened approximately somebody on your existence might die.
