are the photo raw editing tools in lightroom and the photoshop cs5 raw plugin the same thing?

    Sort of. You can do the same with both...but you definitely have more editing options in Lightroom. Plus, in Lightroom, you can batch edit instead of edit one at a time in Photoshop.

    But to answer your question...yes. They both edit RAW files identically.
