of course I change my mind, I get lonely, well rarely recently, but I still get lonely just like most other human beings. when I do run into an individual where our chemistry is really good, I like to be around them, and if it works out, most of the time I will do anything for them.

however, I am getting older and a few really good friends have fallen off the survival chain (alcoholism, drug abuse, self abuse, even suicide) or are just busy and have moved on. most of them also have pets (cats, dogs, birds) that they are now obsessed with because they don't trust most humans anymore. things were a lot different when we were younger.

Yes I have. My wife of 54 years died 5 years ago, and my family thought I would be well off to take a new wife. I just couldn`t do it. It would have been unfair to the woman involved to let her think I could love another. So, I remain alone, but not lonely.
