This seems to be an ongoing struggle, eh? Skyrim VS Battlefield 3! Personally, I would go with Skyrim. I've played both and I prefer the medieval setting Skyrim offers. Also, there are plenty of other quests to get into in Skyrim...You can join guilds or do side jobs for people around town (:

Of you want a long storyline get skyrim it is long my friend got it yesterday and has barely gotten past the beginning. Another friend got it and it took him a bit less than a month to beat it (and he played 6 out of 7 days). The battlefield 3 campaign is actually decent it is around 7-9 hours I think and it's a good campaign but not as good as skyrim.( I have played so I know)

If you love MW3's campaign, you'll probably love BF3's campaign as it's just as cinematic and quite a bit more immersive (Still not very, though XD)
Skyrim is much, much, MUCH better in terms of single player - BF3's main focus is Multiplayer, regardless of what EA say. Skyrim offers a fantastic open world that will take you 100's of hours to explore. If you're into open world RPG's, this will be much more of a wise buy than BF3.

Battlefield is all about the online, so Skyrim is perfect for you. Skyrim has a SUPER long campaign, so it will last a long time

Personally I prefer Skyrim, it's got two story lines, and many other things you can do (from the creators of Fallout, so I wouldn't expect anything less) Then again, I've never really liked MW3, so I don't know if you'd like Skyrim.

that's a very historic physique of recommendations with very historic processor. try getting a processor like intel i-7 or i-5 and atleast 4 or if available 8 GB Ram and an excellent GPU like Nvidia Geforce 680 GTX or Ati Radeon 7970 or some component like that, on your pc's config, there is not any activity which will run easily on extreme settings with atleast 40-50 FPS.

Skyrim, definitely. You don't have xbox live, and no one really plays BF3 solely for the campaign.

i say skyrim because its campaign is long and has tons of side quests and for battlefield three i think to get a thrill from that you need to have online...
