is there a case on parking violation? bank holiday restriction should not apply on single yellow lines? but...?

if sign restriction on single yellow line says Mon-Friday 8:00 - 18:30

does a bank holiday count as a Sunday or the Council has been smart enough not to include except bank holidays on the sign so that they can issue PCN on bank holidays?

Bank Holiday is excluded if and only if it says so. You'll have a very tough time indeed arguing that a Bank Holiday Monday is a Sunday.

The council probably make more money on Bank Holidays than any other day! I bet they get huge legions of wardens out looking for people who make the assumption that you did.

The restrictions are as stated on the sign. Some councils do not enforce them on weekday Bank Holidays, most do.

If the bank holiday falls on Mon-Friday 8:00-18:30 the SYL will obviously cover it. I take it you got a ticket and you're not happy?

yes it depends upon bye -laws and obviously they do not make an exception of bank holidays. You just have to accept that it is another nice little earner for the local council. yet another sign of the poor standards of local government
